We help the communities of Clay and Platte counties with disconnect notices on utility bills. For example, NAC can pay up to the remaining $150 on utility bills. We also help with payment for rental agreements in eviction. On these, NAC can pay up to the remaining $250 on eviction notices. To qualify, one must not have received help from any other agency in the last 6 months, unless paying for the same bill.
Appointments are set by calling NAC Monday mornings beginning at 10 a.m. Appointments are set on a first come, first serve basis and must meet aforementioned requirements. For details, visit our "Contact Us" page.
Our pantry is available by appointment only.
To set an appointment, call any time Monday - Friday from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
The pantry hours and appointment hours are the same.
To qualify for pantry assistance one must not have received other food assistance in the last 30 days prior to visit.
With proper identification and homeless letter, NAC can provide food and other amenities weekly.
In the event of severe weather, NAC may also provide a stay in a hotel room for one night, current funds permitting.
